According to the Wauconda Police Department, officers assisted in a coordinated traffic stop on Tuesday, September 30, after a white Ford Fusion was linked to a string of retail thefts across Lake, McHenry, Boone, Will, and Kane Counties.
The suspects, identified as Donovan White, 30, and Isaiah Garrett, 27, were allegedly involved in a theft when Island Lake Police located the vehicle. Officers from both Island Lake and Wauconda executed a felony stop with assistance from K9 Skye. Police said the operation led to the safe apprehension of both suspects without incident.
During the stop, officers recovered stolen Walgreens merchandise valued at $13,584.99.
