BLOOMINGTON — An Illinois teenager was discovered Friday night with severe stab wounds on the 300 block of Kenmore, near Southgate Estates Trailer Park.
According to Bloomington police reports, despite immediate medical attention and transportation to a local hospital, the 19-year-old succumbed to his injuries. Swift investigative efforts led to the apprehension of a 16-year-old juvenile suspect just hours later in a rural location outside Heyworth.
The name of the victim is pending release by the McLean County Coroner’s Office.
Chief of Police, Jamal Simington, highlighted the department’s commitment to justice and urged those with information to come forward.
