Aurora, IL – Law enforcement officers, attorneys, and community leaders across Illinois are set to gather for the Human Trafficking Summit on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Aurora University, hosted by the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office in partnership with Aurora University.

According to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, the all-day summit aims to equip professionals and the public with tools to identify, prevent, and respond to human trafficking in all its forms. The event will run from 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the university’s Banquet Hall, located at 347 S. Gladstone Ave. in Aurora.

The summit will feature keynote presentations, survivor stories, and breakout sessions focused on trauma-informed care, multidisciplinary collaboration, and strategies to hold traffickers accountable. State’s Attorney Jamie Mosser said the event “reflects our commitment to educating and equipping our community to stand against trafficking.”

Speakers include representatives from Naomi’s House, Emmaus, Rush Copley, Cook County Sheriff’s Office, and Ink180 founder Chris Baker, among others. The event is free to attend, though pre-registration is required, and lunch will be provided.

The summit also offers continuing education credits for law enforcement officers, social workers, attorneys, and healthcare professionals.
