Davenport, IA – Spring warmth is building quickly across eastern Iowa and western Illinois, with temperatures climbing into the 70s and even low 80s through the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities, highs Thursday will range from the low 50s north of Interstate 80 to near 70 degrees farther south. By Friday, temperatures surge into the 60s and upper 70s across cities like Davenport, Moline, and Rock Island, marking a noticeable shift to milder conditions.

The warmest day arrives Saturday, when highs could reach between 66 and 81 degrees across the region. Areas along and south of I-80 will see the most significant warmth, while northern communities remain slightly cooler due to lingering snowpack.

Conditions stay dry and mostly sunny through the weekend, providing ideal weather for outdoor plans. Overnight lows will remain mild, generally in the upper 30s to upper 40s.

Residents should be mindful of increased fire risk due to dry conditions and warming temperatures, especially in open fields and rural areas.

The mild pattern continues into Sunday with highs in the mid-50s to mid-70s before any changes arrive early next week.
