Lincoln, IL – Emergency crews responded to a crash at Lincoln Memorial Hospital Monday afternoon after a vehicle struck the facility’s rehabilitation department.

According to a statement posted by Lincoln Memorial Hospital, the incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. when a vehicle drove into the rehab department. Lincoln Fire Department personnel, local police and EMS responded to the scene. No injuries were reported among staff, patients, or visitors inside the building.

Hospital officials said the facility remains open, with the exception of the rehab department, which has been temporarily closed to ensure safety. Precautionary measures are in place while crews assess the damage and investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Authorities have not released information regarding the driver of the vehicle or whether any citations or charges will follow.

Patients with appointments at the rehab department are being contacted directly by hospital staff. The rest of the hospital is operating normally, with access to emergency services and other departments unaffected.
