Paducah, KY – The US National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a flash flood warning for Mount Vernon, Woodlawn, and Bluford, Illinois, until 9:00 AM CDT on Tuesday.
According to the National Weather Service, street flooding has been reported in Mount Vernon. Residents are urged to move to higher ground immediately and avoid walking or driving through floodwaters. The warning affects a population of approximately 32,334 people, with 19 schools and three hospitals within the impacted area.
The warning remains in effect until Tuesday morning, and residents are advised to stay informed and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety. Flash flooding can develop rapidly, posing serious risks to life and property.
