Davenport, IA – Residents across the Quad Cities and surrounding areas can expect mostly pleasant fall weather through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities. Temperatures will stay seasonable, ranging from the mid-60s to upper 70s, with only brief chances for light rain.

According to the NWS, the first round of isolated showers and storms may develop overnight into Friday morning, with another system bringing light rain on Sunday. Any rainfall is expected to be spotty and light, with 10–40% chances depending on location. Areas south and west of the Quad Cities, including Ottumwa and Burlington, could see slightly higher rain coverage late tonight into Friday morning.

Despite these minimal rain chances, forecasters say the region will continue to experience generally nice fall weather with comfortable daytime highs and cool nights. Friday’s highs are forecast near 70–77°F, while overnight lows will dip into the 40s.

Skies will clear Saturday before clouds increase again late Sunday as the next disturbance moves through. No severe weather is expected during this period.

Residents are encouraged to enjoy the mild fall stretch and stay alert for changing conditions through local forecasts and weather alerts.
