Wauconda, IL – A 47-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly crashing her SUV into the Moose Lodge on South Maple Avenue in Wauconda Wednesday evening, resulting in significant property damage but no serious injuries.

According to a news release from the Wauconda Police Department, officers responded to the 200 block of South Maple Avenue at approximately 6:30 p.m. after receiving reports that a white Lincoln Navigator had collided with the north side of the Moose Lodge. Police allege the vehicle, driven by Jamie Spratt of Wauconda, first struck two unoccupied parked vehicles—a black Jeep Renegade and a white Honda CrossTour—while reversing out of a municipal lot. The Navigator then continued backward, ultimately crashing into the Moose Lodge and causing notable structural damage.

Police stated that a preliminary investigation determined Spratt’s gas pedal allegedly became stuck while reversing. At the time of the crash, a woman inside the Moose Lodge sustained minor injuries but declined medical treatment. Spratt’s 13-year-old daughter, who was seated in the front passenger seat of the Navigator, was reportedly uninjured.

According to police, Spratt was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and was later found to have a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.185. She was charged with multiple offenses, including DUI/alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, reckless driving, and child endangerment. Spratt was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on August 7 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.

Police Chief David Wermes said, “Driving under the influence is a serious and dangerous crime that puts lives at risk. We are extremely fortunate no one was seriously hurt in this incident.”
