New Lenox, IL – Families across New Lenox will have a chance to greet Santa Claus tomorrow as the New Lenox Fire Protection District begins its annual Santa Parade through four neighborhoods, starting at 10 a.m. Saturday.

According to the New Lenox Fire District, firefighters will escort Santa on a decorated fire engine as he travels through Rachel Ridge, Calistoga, Waterchase, and Bristol Park, with each neighborhood receiving its own scheduled time. The rolling parade allows residents to step outside and wave as Santa passes directly through subdivision streets.

The district reports the following approximate times for Saturday’s visits:

  • 10:00 a.m. – Rachel Ridge
Route includes Brogan Dr., Madison Ct., and surrounding loops before returning to W. Laraway Rd.
  • 10:40 a.m. – Calistoga
Parade travels along Augusta St., Blackberry Ln., Caledonia Dr., Desert Canyon Dr., Fountain Ln., Water Chase Dr., Viewside Dr., and nearby connectors.
  • 11:20 a.m. – Waterchase
Fire crews will guide Santa through the Waterchase subdivision, traveling Water Chase Dr., Edgewater Ct., Stapleton Rd., Viewside Dr., and adjoining streets.
  • 12:00 p.m. – Bristol Park
The final stop includes Redcliff Rd., Kinley Dr., Brandon Hill Rd., Rownham Hill Rd., Bristol Park Rd., and surrounding loops.

The fire district notes that times may vary slightly depending on weather or congestion, but residents are encouraged to be outdoors a few minutes early to ensure they do not miss the parade as it moves through their block.

This weekend’s event is part of the district’s 9th annual tradition, sponsored by the New Lenox Fire Protection District and New Lenox Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 5097.
