Hoffman Estates, IL – Drivers and residents along Illinois Boulevard will face new traffic restrictions starting Friday as Phase 2 of the Village of Hoffman Estates’ street revitalization project gets underway.
According to Schaumburg Township officials, construction will begin August 22 on the even-numbered addresses of Illinois Boulevard. The work will include concrete repairs to curbs, gutters, driveway aprons, and sidewalks in marked areas.
Residents whose driveways are scheduled for removal are advised to have vehicles moved by 7 a.m. Friday. Driveway access may be restricted for up to two weeks while work is completed. Parking will be permitted on the opposite side of Illinois Boulevard and nearby side streets, with additional police patrols in place to ensure vehicle safety. Officials noted that all regular parking laws remain in effect during construction.
The project is part of a broader street revitalization effort throughout Hoffman Estates. Village officials said resurfacing of Illinois Boulevard will occur at a later date after nearby street work is finished.
