Boise, Idaho – After a stretch of unseasonably warm and sunny days, Boise residents should prepare for cooler, wetter conditions heading into the weekend. Highs near 80°F will hold through Thursday before showers return late Friday, marking the start of a fall pattern shift.
According to the National Weather Service in Boise, sunny skies will dominate through Thursday with afternoon highs around 82°F and light southeast winds. A weak system moving in from the west is expected to bring a 20 to 40 percent chance of showers by Friday evening, increasing overnight and into Saturday.
Showers could linger through early Sunday, with highs dropping into the upper 50s and overnight lows near 40°F. Areas including Meridian, Nampa, and Caldwell could see spotty rainfall during morning hours both Saturday and Sunday.
Drivers and outdoor event organizers should plan for wet roads and cooler air this weekend. The National Weather Service advises checking updated forecasts, as additional rain chances may continue into early next week.
