Pocatello, ID – Cooler temperatures and a shift in thunderstorms mark the weather forecast for Pocatello and surrounding areas this week. Following scattered thunderstorms on Saturday, which brought wind gusts up to 77 mph in the South Hills, storms will be more isolated and shift northeast today. Highs are expected to be in the 70s and 80s, seasonably cool for late July.

According to the National Weather Service in Pocatello, highs today will range from 79°F in Soda Springs to 88°F in Twin Falls. The chance of thunderstorms will be highest in the northeast regions, including Gilmore and Dubois, with a 20-30% likelihood. Southern areas, including Rockland and Malad City, will experience lower chances of precipitation and more sunshine.

Looking ahead, Pocatello will see a high of 87°F today with clear skies. Monday and Tuesday are forecast to be sunny, with highs of 91°F and 81°F, respectively. Wednesday will bring a slight cool down to 86°F, followed by a warming trend later in the week. By Friday and Saturday, temperatures will climb to 95°F and 99°F, with sunny skies prevailing.
