According to the National Weather Service, Boise faces a 40% chance of showers Saturday afternoon, increasing to 80% by Monday. A thunderstorm is also possible after noon Saturday, with calm winds and highs around 54°F. Localized downpours may affect road conditions, especially on I-84 and Highway 55. Motorists should use caution during peak travel hours this weekend.
Saturday night clears up, but Sunday brings a return of showers with a 70% chance of rain, primarily after midnight. Monday continues the wet trend with an 80% chance of rain. New rainfall totals between a tenth and quarter of an inch are expected.
Cooler air follows Tuesday, bringing a slight chance of rain and snow showers before 9 a.m., then transitioning to spotty rain into the evening. Highs will dip to the low 50s by midweek, with mostly sunny conditions expected by Wednesday and Thursday.
