Boise, ID – Snow showers are expected this afternoon in the Idaho West-Central Mountains, with a 30% to 50% chance of snow. The valleys will remain dry today, with temperatures ranging between 50°F and 60°F in the lower elevations. Higher elevations will experience cooler temperatures, ranging from 35°F to 45°F.
According to the National Weather Service, the snow chances will dissipate by the evening, as skies clear overnight. Temperatures will dip to a chilly 25°F to 35°F in the valleys and 15°F to 25°F in the higher elevations.
Looking ahead, the weather is set to dry out for the rest of the week, with gradually warming temperatures. By Friday, the valleys are expected to see temperatures between 55°F and 65°F, while the mountains will experience cooler temperatures of 40°F to 50°F. By Sunday, valleys will reach highs of 65°F to 75°F, and higher elevations will remain cooler at 50°F to 60°F.
As temperatures rise and skies clear, residents are advised to be prepared for warmer conditions as the weekend approaches.
