Boise, ID – A chilly stretch of wet weather is expected to continue through Tuesday across much of southwest Idaho, bringing below-average temperatures, rain showers, and a slight chance of thunderstorms.
According to the National Weather Service Boise, the region will remain under the influence of unsettled weather until at least Wednesday, April 2. Rain chances remain elevated in cities like Boise, Nampa, Caldwell, and Twin Falls, with precipitation probabilities ranging from 40% to 80% at times. High temperatures across the region will stay in the 40s and low 50s, several degrees below seasonal norms.
Thunderstorm chances linger through Tuesday evening, particularly in the Treasure Valley and Magic Valley areas. The system will also bring light snow or mixed precipitation in higher elevations like McCall, Brundage Mountain, and Banner Summit.
Drivers should watch for slick roads during morning and evening commutes, especially in mountain corridors. Residents are encouraged to check forecasts regularly and limit travel during peak precipitation hours.
A warming trend is forecast to begin Thursday, with drier conditions spreading into the weekend. Until then, residents should plan for continued damp conditions and remain alert to changing weather patterns.
