Nampa, ID – A juvenile was killed and three others were hospitalized Tuesday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 near Nampa, according to the Idaho State Police.
The collision occurred around 3:06 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in the westbound lanes of I-84 near milepost 39 in Canyon County. Investigators say a white 2013 Ford F-450 box truck driven by a 21-year-old Nampa man was rear-ended by a black 2007 GMC Sierra driven by a 31-year-old Meridian man with juvenile passengers.
According to state police, the occupants of the Ford were not injured. However, one juvenile in the GMC died at the scene from their injuries. Three additional occupants from the GMC were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
The westbound lanes of I-84 were shut down for approximately three hours as emergency crews responded. The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police with assistance from the Ada County Sheriff’s Office, Canyon County Paramedics, the Nampa Fire Department, and the Idaho Transportation Department.
Motorists were advised to expect delays in the area during the afternoon closure.
