Idaho State Police Investigating Fatal Crash on US-20/26 Near Notus

Notus, ID – Idaho State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Friday evening, November 7, 2025, just west of Notus in Canyon County.

The crash happened around 6:19 p.m. on US-20/26 near Purple Sage Road when a blue 2013 Cadillac SRX, driven by a 77-year-old woman from Parma, reportedly crossed the center line and collided head-on with a white Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 67-year-old man from Caldwell.

According to Idaho State Police, the woman driving the Cadillac died at the scene. The driver of the Silverado was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

All lanes of US-20/26 were blocked for approximately three hours while emergency crews cleared the scene. The Canyon County Sheriff’s Office assisted state troopers in the response.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
