BOISE, ID – The first weekend of spring in Idaho will bring a mix of showers and sunshine, with cooler temperatures Friday before a warming trend begins next week. Residents should prepare for scattered rain showers Friday before conditions improve by Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, Boise will see a 40% chance of rain overnight Thursday into Friday morning. Daytime temperatures on Friday will reach 54°F, with mostly cloudy skies and light winds shifting southeast. Rain chances decrease into the afternoon, leading to a drier evening.

Saturday morning may bring lingering showers, but the afternoon will turn partly sunny with a high of 54°F. By Sunday, Boise will see mostly sunny skies and a high near 59°F—offering a great start to spring outdoor activities.

Looking ahead, Monday will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 60s, followed by even warmer temperatures midweek. By Wednesday, Boise could see highs near 78°F, marking a significant warm-up.

Drivers should be cautious on wet roads Friday, particularly on I-84, where rain may impact visibility. Those planning weekend outings should expect cooler conditions early but enjoy improving weather by Sunday.

With spring officially here, Idahoans can look forward to more sunshine and rising temperatures in the days ahead.
