Soda Springs, ID – A minor earthquake with a magnitude of 2.5 struck today, approximately 15 kilometers east-northeast of Soda Springs, Idaho.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the seismic event occurred at 16:17:13 UTC (10:17:13 AM MDT) on Tuesday. The earthquake was at a depth of 9.4 kilometers. The University of Utah Seismograph Stations contributed to the data for this event.

No immediate reports of damage or injuries have been reported following the tremor. Earthquakes of this magnitude are generally considered minor and are often not felt by many people, though some closer to the epicenter may have experienced a slight jolt.
