Idaho Crash Sends Three to Hospital Following Rollover Near Burley

Cassia County, ID – An early morning rollover crash east of Burley on Tuesday sent three young adults to the hospital, one by air ambulance, following a single-vehicle collision on Interstate 86.

According to Idaho State Police, the crash happened at approximately 4:30 a.m. near the junction of Interstate 86 and Interstate 84. A 2011 Chevy Cruze, driven by an 18-year-old female from Hansen, was traveling westbound when it veered off the road, entered the median, and rolled.

ISP said the driver was wearing a seatbelt, but the front and rear passengers were not. The driver and a 19-year-old female passenger, also from Hansen, were transported to a local hospital by ground ambulance. A third occupant, a 19-year-old male from Lanai City, Hawaii, was flown by air ambulance to a nearby hospital.

Emergency crews from Cassia County Sheriff’s Office, Emergency Response Ambulance, East End Fire Department, QRU, Air St. Luke’s, and Hendrickson’s Road Solutions responded to the scene.

Idaho State Police stated the crash remains under investigation.
