Little Rock, AR – Arkansas residents should prepare for freezing conditions Thursday night as temperatures drop to 32 degrees or lower in parts of the state. Areas like Harrison, Mena, and Mountain View are expected to experience the coldest overnight temperatures, while much of the state remains in the low to mid-30s.
According to the National Weather Service, Thursday will begin with patchy morning fog, which could reduce visibility for drivers, especially in low-lying areas and near waterways. By mid-morning, sunny skies will dominate, with afternoon highs reaching the mid-50s across most of Arkansas.
As the evening sets in, temperatures will quickly fall, leading to frosty conditions overnight. Residents are encouraged to protect outdoor plants, check on pets, and ensure vehicles are winter-ready.
Looking ahead, Friday will bring sunny skies and highs near 47 degrees, though overnight temperatures will again dip into the upper 20s. The weekend forecast remains clear but cool, with Sunday’s high at 48 degrees. A gradual warming trend begins Monday, with rain chances increasing Tuesday as temperatures rise into the upper 50s.
Stay alert to changing conditions and prepare for cold weather safety through the week.
