According to the National Weather Service (NWS), icy patches remain a major hazard for drivers on secondary and less-traveled roads throughout central Georgia. Wednesday’s high will reach 35 degrees, offering slight relief, but overnight lows will plummet to 20 degrees, ensuring ice persists on untreated surfaces. Thursday will bring mostly cloudy skies with a high near 40 and calm winds. Nighttime lows will again hover in the low 20s, continuing the freeze.

Looking ahead, Friday promises mostly sunny skies and a high near 41, while Saturday sees warmer conditions with highs reaching 47. A slight chance of showers appears Sunday evening, but no major precipitation is expected through the weekend.
