Philadelphia, PA – A winter weather advisory is in effect for portions of Pennsylvania and New Jersey from 11 p.m. Wednesday to 10 a.m. Thursday, bringing snow, sleet, and ice that could impact travel.

According to the National Weather Service, up to an inch of snow and sleet is expected, with ice accumulations reaching one-tenth of an inch. Hazardous road conditions may disrupt the Thursday morning commute, particularly on major highways like I-95 and I-76.

Residents should use caution while traveling, as icy conditions could lead to accidents and delays. The heaviest precipitation is expected overnight, transitioning to rain by late morning Thursday.

Friday will be partly cloudy with lows in the mid-20s, but another round of winter weather arrives Saturday night, bringing a wintry mix and possible snow accumulation.

Motorists should check road conditions before heading out by calling 511 or visiting PennDOT’s website. Stay alert for changing weather and allow extra travel time.
