Portage, MI – The Portage Department of Public Safety Police Division, in coordination with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety and Michigan State Police, is responding to a crash involving two semi-trucks on westbound I-94, just west of Portage Road.
According to authorities, no injuries have been reported, but all westbound lanes are currently blocked as crews work to clear the wreckage and assess roadway conditions. The closure is expected to cause significant delays during the afternoon commute.
Officials urge drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until the scene is cleared. Eastbound lanes remain open at this time, but traffic in the area is moving slowly due to emergency response activity.
