Wilmington, OH – Mild temperatures and breezy conditions will highlight Thursday’s weather across southwest and central Ohio, with highs reaching the 50s under partly cloudy skies, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wilmington.

Forecasters say the warmest readings will be found along and south of the Ohio River, where highs may reach the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. Areas north of I-70, including Dayton, Springfield, and Columbus suburbs, will remain in the low to mid-50s.

Breezy conditions will continue throughout the day, with the strongest gusts expected along and north of I-70. Peak wind gusts may reach 15 to 20 mph, with lighter gusts of 10 to 15 mph farther south. Despite the breeze, sunshine will break through at times, keeping the day feeling seasonably mild for mid-November.

Overnight lows will fall into the mid-30s to low 40s, with partly cloudy skies and diminishing winds.

The warming trend continues through the weekend as high temperatures gradually climb. Friday and Saturday are expected to bring even milder conditions, with many locations pushing well into the 60s. No significant precipitation is expected over the next several days.

NWS meteorologists note that this pattern is typical of short-term warmups seen during November when high pressure builds across the region and winds shift southerly. The next chance for rain appears to arrive early next week as a larger system organizes across the Midwest.

Residents from Cincinnati to Dayton and Columbus should enjoy the pleasant, breezy conditions today before temperatures take an even warmer turn heading into the weekend.
