Indianapolis, IN – Another round of light to moderate snow is expected to move across central Indiana Monday night, bringing widespread accumulations of around one inch or more by Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.

Snow will begin spreading from northwest to southeast late Monday afternoon, continuing through the night before tapering off early Tuesday. The heaviest totals are expected east of I-69, where probabilities exceed 70% for at least one inch of accumulation.

Temperatures Monday night will fall into the upper teens to low 30s, with wind chills in the 20s. The Monday evening commute could be impacted, especially on untreated roads, with slick spots and reduced visibility likely into early Tuesday morning.

The NWS advises residents to bundle up and drive cautiously, particularly in eastern and central counties where light snow may linger through daybreak.
