I-55 South shutdown near Weber after multi-vehicle, injury crash

LOCKPORT – Illinois State Police are reporting a multi-car crash with multiple injuries this morning on I-55 southbound near Weber Road.

According to Illinois State Police District 5, the accident occurred at 5:34 am this morning, resulting in all southbound lanes to be closed while an investigation was underway.

Officers are advising motorists to avoid the area.
