FORT WORTH, Texas – A classic Texas-style fall warmup continues this week, bringing near-record highs and plenty of sunshine for early October. The region is holding firm in the 90s through midweek, making it feel more like late summer than the heart of fall.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, only a slim 20% chance of rain arrives by Tuesday, offering little relief from the dry spell across Tarrant County. Winds will stay mostly light, but drivers on I-35W and local park-goers should brace for strong sun exposure during peak afternoon hours. Outdoor plans, including pumpkin patch visits and early Halloween decorating, look safe and pleasant—just remember sunscreen and hydration.

Highs on Monday and Tuesday will top out near 91°F, with overnight lows near 70°F under mostly clear skies. By midweek, slightly cooler air will nudge daytime highs closer to 89°F. The mild evenings remain comfortable for neighborhood events or late walks along the Trinity Trails.

Though humidity stays moderate, residents are advised to keep lawns and gardens watered. No major cold fronts are expected before Friday, when another sunny day near 91°F is likely. Keep an eye out for shifting breezes later in the week as models hint at a gradual cool-down for the weekend.
