Little Rock, Arkansas – It’s starting to feel more like July than September in Central Arkansas. Little Rock will heat up quickly this week, with daily highs nearing 93°F and zero rain expected through at least Friday, September 12.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures on Monday will top out near 80°F, but the heat accelerates by midweek. Tuesday through Friday will bring consistent sunshine, light winds, and highs pushing into the low 90s across Pulaski County and the I-30 corridor.

NOAA’s 6–10 day precipitation outlook confirms below-normal rainfall will continue for the state, with no organized systems on the horizon. Lawns, fields, and forests across Faulkner, Saline, and Lonoke counties are already beginning to dry out — a signal that fire weather concerns may return by mid-to-late week.

Humidity will stay relatively low, and winds will remain calm — good for comfort but not for moisture recovery. Outdoor burn restrictions could be issued if this pattern stretches beyond the weekend.

There are no storm threats or rainfall chances in the extended forecast.
