HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – North Alabama is in for a stretch of dry, hot weather as temperatures climb back into the 90s through early next week. Sunshine will dominate the region, offering clear skies but little relief from the heat during the afternoons.
According to the National Weather Service in Huntsville, Friday will start the warm-up with highs near 89 degrees before pushing into the low 90s on Sunday. By Monday and Tuesday, temperatures could reach 93 in Huntsville and surrounding cities, including Madison, Decatur, and Athens. Nighttime lows will remain mild, holding in the mid-to-upper 60s, allowing for comfortable evenings.
The consistent sunshine means no rain is in sight, and light winds out of the northeast are expected to remain calm. The lack of rainfall may benefit outdoor plans across the Tennessee Valley, but residents are urged to stay hydrated and limit prolonged outdoor activity during peak afternoon hours.
This warm and dry pattern looks locked in until at least Wednesday, with the National Weather Service noting only slight changes in daily highs. No advisories are currently in effect, but updates could be issued if temperatures rise further into midweek.
