Huntsville, AL – Cooler and breezier weather is taking hold across North Alabama, with gusty winds up to 30 mph expected through Sunday afternoon as a new air mass moves into the region, according to the National Weather Service in Huntsville.

Tonight’s temperatures will fall into the low 40s, marking one of the coolest nights of the fall season so far. The mild and dry trend will continue through midweek, with daytime highs in the upper 60s to low 70s and clear, crisp nights.

Forecasters note a very slight (10%) chance for showers on Tuesday, but otherwise expect dry weather through Thursday. Patchy frost may develop in northern valleys and rural areas early Wednesday morning, where lows could dip into the upper 30s.

By Friday, another weak system may bring a 20–30% chance of light rain, though no significant precipitation is expected.

Residents should prepare for cooler mornings and breezy afternoons, ideal for outdoor plans and fall activities.
