Huntsville, Alabama — Cooler and dry conditions will settle across north Alabama on Friday, with daytime highs ranging from 40 to 48 degrees following a recent cold front.

According to the National Weather Service in Huntsville, Friday will remain dry with below-average temperatures across the Tennessee Valley. Morning lows are expected to dip into the upper 20s to lower 30s, while afternoon highs recover into the 40s. No precipitation is forecast during the day Friday.

The cool conditions will be short-lived. A warming trend is expected to begin Saturday as southerly flow returns, allowing highs to climb into the low to mid-50s, with some areas approaching 60 degrees by Saturday afternoon. Overnight lows Saturday night are forecast to remain milder, generally in the upper 30s to lower 40s.

Rain chances are expected to return late Saturday night and continue intermittently into early next week. The National Weather Service said rain probabilities will range from 10 to 30 percent through Monday, with no indication of widespread heavy rainfall at this time.

Sunday is forecast to bring continued mild temperatures, with highs again in the low to mid-50s and lows in the 30s. By Monday, highs are expected to range from 50 to 57 degrees, accompanied by lingering rain chances.

Forecasters noted that while rainfall totals appear limited, residents should remain aware of changing conditions, especially during overnight and early-morning travel periods early next week.

Commuters, students, and outdoor workers will notice the coldest conditions Friday morning before temperatures steadily moderate through the weekend.
