Albany, N.Y. – Eastern New York and western New England will wrap up the weekend under bright skies and rising heat, with Sunday bringing some of the warmest conditions so far this month. Afternoon highs in river valley locations are expected to push into the low 90s, making hydration and sun protection essential for outdoor plans.

According to the National Weather Service in Albany, today will remain mostly sunny, with highs between 79 and 87 degrees. A slight chance—less than 20%—of an isolated shower or thunderstorm exists for the Adirondacks. Tonight will be mostly clear with patchy fog possible, especially in low-lying areas, as temperatures drop into the mid-50s to low 60s.

Recreation spots like Lake George, Lake Taghkanic, and Old Forge will see Sunday highs between 89 and 91 degrees, while higher elevation areas such as Stratton Mountain and Mount Greylock will still feel warm, reaching the mid-80s. Travelers should be prepared for reduced visibility early Sunday morning in fog-prone valleys before conditions quickly clear.

Heat will persist through early next week, with no significant rainfall expected to bring relief.
