Houston, TX — A cold front moves into the Houston area tonight, bringing breezy winds and cooler temperatures after sunny skies today.

The National Weather Service predicts lows dipping into the low 50s tonight as the front reinforces a shift to fall-like weather. Highs today will reach the upper 70s to low 80s, but northwest winds will bring a chill overnight. Patchy fog this morning could impact commuters on major roadways like I-10 and I-45, especially during early hours.

According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday will be sunny but cooler, with highs reaching just 68°F and gusty winds up to 20 mph. These conditions could create dry, breezy weather, increasing fire risks in certain areas. Motorists should secure light objects outside and remain cautious of changing wind speeds while driving.

Looking ahead, Thursday will maintain sunny skies with temperatures in the high 60s and calm winds, offering perfect conditions for outdoor plans. By Friday, expect a continuation of cool, clear nights and comfortable, sunny afternoons, with highs near 69°F. The warming trend begins Saturday, with highs nearing 73°F, climbing further into the 80s by Sunday.

Drivers on highways such as I-45 and Beltway 8 should remain alert to patchy fog early in the mornings through the week. Residents are encouraged to enjoy outdoor activities during the cooler, dry days while taking precautions at night, as lows will remain in the 40s and 50s through Friday.

Stay updated by checking local forecasts regularly and preparing for fluctuating conditions as the front passes.
