Texas – Headlights glow through low, patchy fog across Houston roadways early today, where visibility can drop quickly before sunshine returns and temperatures surge into the mid-80s by afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston, patchy fog develops after early morning hours and may linger into the commute, especially along I-45, I-10, and the Beltway. Visibility can dip below one mile in spots before skies clear and highs reach 83°F today with light southwest winds near 10 mph.

That pattern repeats through the weekend and into Monday. Morning fog forms again Saturday and Sunday, followed by bright, warm afternoons with highs near 86°F. Winds remain light but can gust up to 20 mph at times, keeping air moving but not enough to prevent fog formation before sunrise.

Drivers should slow down in low-visibility zones and use low-beam headlights. Sudden visibility drops can occur near bayous and low-lying areas around Harris County and toward Sugar Land and Pasadena. Plan extra time during early commutes.

By Monday, fog lingers early before clearing into another sunny, warm day near 86°F. Nights stay mild in the low to mid-60s, allowing moisture to rebuild near the surface and support more fog development.

Tuesday continues the steady spring pattern with mostly sunny skies and highs near 85°F. No significant rain is expected, keeping roads dry but mornings potentially hazy.

If you’re commuting early, watch for quick changes in visibility. Are you seeing dense fog where you are this morning?
