Texas – Headlights glow through thick morning fog across Houston right now, with visibility reduced and damp air clinging to roads as drivers navigate a slow start. Conditions are already improving, but pockets of mist still linger along I-45, I-69, and the Beltway.

According to the National Weather Service, patchy fog will lift by mid-morning, giving way to partly sunny skies and a high near 84°F. Winds remain light from the south at 5 to 10 mph, helping stabilize conditions as visibility improves steadily through late morning.

Across Houston and Harris County, early commuters may notice slick spots on bridges and shaded roadways. While widespread hazards are limited, reduced visibility can still cause sudden slowdowns. Keep headlights on and allow extra following distance until skies clear.

By Thursday, sunshine takes over with a high near 83°F and occasional gusts reaching 20 mph. That warmer, drier pattern continues into Friday, when highs climb to 86°F. It will feel closer to early summer than late March, especially during the afternoon.

The weekend brings a slight cooldown, with highs near 79°F Saturday and 82°F Sunday under mostly sunny skies. Nights stay mild, hovering between 60°F and 65°F, ideal for evening plans but still humid.

Looking ahead, early next week holds steady warmth with slight cloud increases and a small chance of showers returning by Monday into Tuesday. No major disruptions are expected, but changing Gulf moisture could shift conditions quickly.

If you’re heading out this morning, how thick is the fog in your neighborhood?
