According to the National Weather Service Houston-Galveston, a Cold Weather Advisory will be in effect from 3 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday for parts of southeast Texas. Wind chills could drop as low as 17 to 20 degrees, prompting officials to urge residents to dress in layers and limit outdoor exposure. Additionally, a Gale Watch will be in effect from midnight Tuesday through 3 p.m. Wednesday, impacting coastal areas near Galveston, Lake Jackson, and Magnolia Beach. North winds could reach 35-40 knots, with seas rising between 7-10 feet, creating dangerous marine conditions. Mariners are urged to avoid unnecessary travel.
