HOMEWOOD, IL – A drive-by shooting erupted in the early hours of Saturday, September 30, 2023, on the 18000 block of Halsted Street.
Around 1:39 AM, Homewood Police rushed to the scene, discovering a man wounded by gunfire. He was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital where he now remains in stable condition. Preliminary findings suggest two vehicles engaged in a southbound shootout on Halsted, leading one to crash.
