Homewood Police Nab Suspicious Subject: Unloaded Handgun and Stolen Goods Found

HOMEWOOD, IL — Early Wednesday morning, Homewood police officers arrested a man found tampering with cars on Linden’s 1500 block. 

According to officers reports, when they approached around 2:09 AM, Marco Wilson, 42, of Oak Forest, led officers on a brief foot chase. In his attempt to flee, Wilson was allegedly seen discarding an unloaded handgun.

Once in custody, a search revealed items believed to be from a recent car burglary. Wilson now faces serious allegations, including a Class X Felony for being an Armed Habitual Criminal, a Class 2 Felony for Burglary, and three counts of Resisting Arrest.
