Homewood, IL – Homewood police responded to reports of gunfire Saturday evening near the 17600 block of Hillside Avenue. Officers arrived at approximately 6:59 p.m. and discovered several spent shell casings in the area.
According to the Homewood Police Department, the suspect or suspects fled before police arrived. A vehicle attempting to leave the area crashed into a tree near the scene. Authorities confirmed no injuries were reported.
