Holiday Spirit Shines Bright in Frankfort with Lighting of the Green Celebration

Frankfort, IL – Frankfort’s annual Lighting of the Green will bring festive cheer to Breidert Green tonight at 6:30 p.m.

The event features holiday music, family activities, and the much-anticipated lighting of the community Christmas tree. Mayor Keith Ogle and the Village Board will host the celebration, which promises an evening of warmth and joy despite chilly weather.

According to the Village of Frankfort, attendees can enjoy performances by the Hickory Creek Middle School Choir and festive countdown fun. Children can meet Santa Claus, enjoy complimentary hot cocoa, and take photos with dazzling holiday décor. Horse-drawn carriage rides will also be available to enhance the seasonal magic.
