Hoffman Estates, IL – The Village of Hoffman Estates is set to host its Annual Recycling Event on Saturday, August 24, at a new location: Village Hall, 1900 Hassell Rd., from 9 a.m. to noon. This free event is open exclusively to residents of the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC), providing a convenient opportunity to dispose of various household items responsibly.
According to the Village of Hoffman Estates Government, residents can recycle electronics, sensitive documents, textiles, light bulbs, drugs, sharps, and latex paint (for a fee) during the event. However, business materials will not be accepted.
The Village urges residents to check their eligibility by confirming their community’s membership with SWANCC before attending. A complete list of acceptable items and additional event details are available on the Village’s website.
This event marks a critical effort in promoting sustainable practices and reducing landfill waste, making it easier for residents to recycle items that often require special handling. Don’t miss this opportunity to declutter your home and contribute to a greener community.
