Hoffman Estates, IL – The Village of Hoffman Estates will host its 18th annual Oktoberfest-themed Platzkonzert Germanfest from Friday, September 6, through Sunday, September 8. The event, held at the Virginia Mary Hayter Village Green at 5510 Prairie Stone Parkway, promises three days of authentic German music, food, and beer, creating an immersive cultural experience for attendees.
According to the village’s announcement, the festival opens on Friday at 6 p.m. with a keg tap ceremony led by Mayor William D. McLeod. Friday’s festivities will also include a “Best Legs” competition and live music by Alpine Blast. The celebration continues Saturday, featuring children’s activities at Kinderplatz, a Stein Hoisting contest, and live performances from local bands. Sunday will wrap up the event with dachshund races, a German dance performance, and more live music.
