Hobart, IN – A significant fire broke out at a storage building on the far south side of Hobart on Monday night, prompting a swift and substantial response from local fire departments.
According to reports at 8:25 p.m., firefighters arrived at the scene at the corner of 84th and Colorado, finding heavy flames on the northeast side of the building. Incident Command quickly upgraded the response to a third alarm, bringing in additional resources from multiple neighboring departments, including Gary, Crown Point, and Merrillville.
The fire was contained and extinguished within two and a half hours. According to the Hobart Fire Department, no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
