Hit-and-Run Investigation Underway in Greenburgh, NY After Pedestrian Struck on I-287

Greenburgh, NY – New York State Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident that left a pedestrian in critical condition on April 2nd, 2025.

The collision occurred around 8:00 p.m. on the Exit 5 deceleration ramp of I-287 East in the Town of Greenburgh. The victim was struck by an unknown vehicle that fled the scene, resulting in a traumatic brain injury. The pedestrian remains in critical condition, and authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the responsible vehicle and driver.

According to the New York State Police, anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information about the vehicle involved is urged to come forward. Those with information are asked to contact the Troop T Statewide Communications (TSOC) at (866) 833-2980.

The State Police appreciate any help from the public as they continue their investigation.
