Cheyenne, WY –
The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued another High Wind Warning for much of southeast Wyoming, where gusts could reach 60 to 80 mph late Thursday night into Friday.

The warning includes Arlington, Bordeaux, Laramie Summit, Rawlins, Laramie Valley, and central Laramie County, with a High Wind Watch also in effect for eastern Laramie County, Shirley Basin, and lower elevations of Converse County.

Forecasters say these conditions are typical for Wyoming’s wind-prone areas, but this latest round could cause dangerous travel, especially for light and high-profile vehicles on Interstates 25 and 80. Blowing dust, reduced visibility, and isolated power outages are also possible.

Winds are expected to peak overnight through Friday morning, then gradually decrease by late Friday afternoon.
Residents are urged to secure outdoor objects, avoid unnecessary travel in open areas, and check WYDOT’s 511 travel system for updated road conditions.
