Mount Holly, NJ – The US National Weather Service Philadelphia/Mount Holly has issued a Coastal Flood Warning for all Atlantic coastal areas of New Jersey and Delaware, including the Delaware Bay and tidal Delaware River, with flooding impacts expected through Monday evening.

Forecasters report that the strongest winds have already occurred, but gusts of 30–40 mph will continue today, potentially worsening flooding during the high tide this afternoon and evening.

According to the Weather Service, moderate to locally major flooding is ongoing in several coastal communities, with water levels expected to rise again during the next tide cycle. Affected areas include Atlantic City, Cape May, Reedy Point, Lewes, and Bivalve, where some roads are already impassable.

Residents are urged to avoid driving through flooded roadways, as water may conceal hazards or block access to key evacuation routes. Local officials advise those in flood-prone zones to stay alert for evacuation instructions or road closures.

Conditions are expected to gradually improve overnight as winds ease and tides lower.
