Hernando County, FL – A registered sex offender was arrested this month in Hernando County after investigators say he failed to report multiple internet identifiers as required under Florida law.
According to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, Harry Dewayne Condo, 47, was taken into custody on Tuesday following an investigation into alleged violations of the Florida Sex Offender Registration Act.
Investigators said Condo was previously adjudicated guilty in 2002 in Hernando County for lewd or lascivious conduct involving a victim under 16 years old. That conviction requires him to comply with strict registration and reporting rules through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Sex Offender and Predator System (SOPS).
Detectives allege Condo created and used multiple unreported internet identifiers, including social media accounts and an email address, none of which were listed on his FDLE SOPS profile. Authorities said the accounts included self-made videos and online interactions with other users through messages and comments.
During the investigation, detectives identified a common username across several platforms. A review of Condo’s registration history showed no internet identifiers had ever been reported. Records indicate his most recent FDLE SOPS re-registration was completed on January 7, 2025.
Further investigation allegedly confirmed the accounts were created using Condo’s registered phone number and email address. On January 6, 2025, detectives made contact with Condo at his listed place of employment and presented him with images of the online profiles. According to deputies, Condo acknowledged that the account belonged to him.
Condo was arrested on the following charges:
- Counts 1–2: Failure to report internet identifiers within 48 hours
- Count 3: Knowingly providing false registration information by act or omission
He was transported to the Hernando County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.
