Brooksville, FL – A registered sex offender in Hernando County was arrested this week after allegedly failing to report multiple online identifiers as required under Florida law, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say Harry Dewayne Condo, 56, was taken into custody following a detailed review of his Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Sex Offender and Predator System (SOPS) profile. Detectives determined that Condo allegedly maintained unreported email and social media accounts that were not listed in his official registry.

According to Detective Marcarelli, the inquiry began after inconsistencies appeared between Condo’s employment information and data contained within FDLE records. Further investigation found that several accounts were registered using Condo’s phone number and email address on file with state authorities.

On January 6, detectives made contact with Condo at his registered address and presented him with evidence of the unreported profiles. Authorities said Condo allegedly admitted ownership of at least one of the accounts.

Condo now faces multiple felony counts, including failure to report internet identifiers within 48 hours and knowingly providing false registration information. He was transported to the Hernando County Detention Center, where he remains held without bond.

Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to contact Hernando County Crime Stoppers at 1-866-990-TIPS or submit tips online.
