LAS VEGAS – WinterFest is bringing the holiday magic back to Water Street in Henderson this December.
Southern Nevada continues to grow into a popular holiday destination with the return of the city’s beloved WinterFest. The annual two-day event will take place Thursday, December 4, and Friday, December 5, at Water Street Plaza in Henderson. This free festival offers fun for the whole family with a variety of activities and entertainment.
The festival kicks off at 5 p.m. on Thursday with the tree lighting ceremony and drone show, presented by Nevada State Bank. Festive music will be provided by Ryan Shupe and the RubberBand, along with the Coronado High School choir. On Friday at 6:30 p.m., the exciting Electric Light Parade takes over Water Street, featuring glowing floats, twinkling costumes, and holiday cheer in a 90-minute procession.
In addition to the main events, festival goers can enjoy something to eat from one of the many food vendors and do some gift shopping in the vendor village, which features local artists, small businesses, and crafters.
WinterFest is a fun and free event that is a favorite tradition among locals and highlights Southern Nevada as a must-visit holiday destination. According to the City of Henderson, last year the event drew around 17,000 attendees, and this year, large numbers are expected as well.
